Mission Statement

The North Shore Teen Initiative is an organization committed to building community among all Jewish teens through institutional collaboration, a rich spectrum of innovative programming and participation in national opportunities. NSTI strives to connect Jewish teens to their peers and to motivate participation in Jewish life through:

Teens of all abilities, grades 8-12, who self-identify as Jewish are welcome. No previous membership at a synagogue, religious school education or other affiliation is required to participate.

3 Ways to Try NSTI

Community Service: Join other teens in repairing the world. Have a huge impact at NSTI programs like J-Serve, L'Shaper and Soup-er Sunday.

National Travel: Lobby on Capitol Hill at the RAC's Social Justice Seminar in Washington D.C. Build houses with Habitat For Humanity during Alternative Spring Break in North Carolina. Provide respite for families at Camp Sunshine in Maine. Reclaim neighborhoods damaged by storms in New York.

Social Networking: NSTI works in collaboration with area youth groups to help you connect with friends at events like Loon Mountain Overnight, our Teen Band Coffee House and all the events on our calendar where teens get together to have fun, learn and use their powers for good.
